The Doctrine of Restoration

Dear CrossPointe,

I am so looking forward to this weekend and our guests, Ed and Anna Moore. Ed is the pastor of North Shore Baptist Church in Queens, New York where he and Anna have been serving for thirty years. I met Ed several years ago through a mutual pastoral network, and he has been a consistent source of encouragement since then. I often pull up his church’s website and listen to a sermon of his when I need my soul warmed with down-to-earth gospel truth and clarity. To give you a feel for their ministry and church, here’s a brief video from a few years ago before he spoke at the Together for the Gospel Conference.  

On Saturday morning we will gather at 10:30 for a light breakfast, and then at 11:00, Ed will speak to the men (in the Youth Room) and Anna will address the women (in the Sanctuary). They will speak on biblical manhood and womanhood, respectively. I hope you can make it out Saturday! This is for young and old, married and single, men and women. All are welcome. Then on Sunday morning, Ed will preach from 2 Kings 8:1–6 on “The Doctrine of Restoration” and also share at 5:00pm during our Evening Service.
