This Sunday: “Transformed”

You’re probably aware that Luke wrote a sequel to his gospel, the book we call Acts. While the Gospel of Luke records some events leading up to (and a little after) Jesus’ death and resurrection, Acts looks at the early impact of the Cross on Jesus’ followers and those who would come to follow the resurrected Savior.

This Sunday I’ll look at the first five chapters of Acts, paying special attention to Acts 5 and the radical transformation of the apostles as they helped build Christ’s church following his ascension into heaven. Saddle up your horses!

It’d be a good idea to read Acts 1-5 before Sunday! And please pray for me, too, that I would present God’s Word with humility and clarity.
