The Lord's Supper

Dear CrossPointe,

Sunday’s text is Mark 14:12-31, which recounts Jesus’ last supper with his disciples. Once again there is much in this text for us to work through—Jesus’ utter control, Judas’ betrayal, a prediction of Peter’s betrayal, and, most importantly, the cross that this meal points to.

In addition to reading the text before Sunday, you’ll be helped by reading Exodus 12 (the story of the Passover meal in the Old Testament) and Paul's teaching on the Lord's Supper in 1 Corinthians 11:17-34. I look forward to studying and participating in the Lord’s Supper together on Sunday!
