Sunday: Psalm 62

CrossPointe family,

This week we will close out our month in the Psalms with Psalm 62, a Psalm of confidence. This beautiful Psalm calls us to confidence in God when our circumstances would suggest otherwise. Additionally, we will discuss how our confidence in Christ affords us the open honesty toward God that we see throughout the Scriptures.

Psalm 62:8 reads, “Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.” This call to “pour out our hearts” before God is an active honesty that carries us further than merely knowing that God is in control, inviting us to live in response to this knowledge.

My prayer is that this would encourage you to tell God anything and everything in prayer, leading to a closer and deeper walk with Christ. As you prepare for this Sunday you may want to check out a few other Scriptures:
