Jesus, the Humble, Triumphant King

The next few chapters in Mark (11-15) cover the last week of Jesus’ life before his death and resurrection. This week we will look at Mark 11:1-11 where Jesus rides a donkey into Jerusalem amidst shouts of "Hosanna!"

On the surface, this may seem like merely a good text for Palm Sunday and not much else. But it is packed full of connection to the Old Testament (specifically Zechariah 9-14) and application for us about how Jesus exercises his authority and how we should respond to him.

Take some time to read and think about the passage before Sunday and pray for God to stir our affections for Jesus and draw sinners to trust in him as we gather!
