Preparing for Sunday + Weekly Announcements

Dear CrossPointe,

Brad will be guest-preaching this Sunday at a friend’s church in Atlanta (Mt. Vernon Baptist). While he’s up the road, we’ll take a break from Romans and look at a key episode in the life of the early church.

Acts 6:1–7 recounts the story of how the growing church neglected a group of Greek-speaking widows. When the oversight was brought to everyone’s attention, their solution was to serve these women more intentionally while also stewarding the word of God. We’ll see how preaching the word and serving one another go hand in hand and consider how we might care for those in our own church who might be easily overlooked.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday and pray we’ll all be encouraged by the Lord!

Good Friday Service (March 30, 6:30 p.m.) || Make plans to worship together with other local churches (St. Andrews, Westminster, and Berean Covenant) at CrossPointe as we remember the crucifixion of Jesus. Childcare will not be provided, but children are welcome to join us.
 
Children’s Ministry Training (April 8, 9 a.m.) || Serve the families and children of CrossPointe on Sunday mornings! This brief training will equip you with everything you need to know. RSVP to Cristin Wise.

Starting Pointe Membership Class (April 21–22) || Learn more about CrossPointe and what it means to be a member! This two-part class meets on Sat., April 21 (9 a.m.–noon), and Sun., April 22 (5–7:30 p.m.). Childcare is provided. Sign up by e-mailing Robert Ward.
