Dear CrossPointe,

Brad’s given me the keys to the pulpit this Sunday, so I’ll be taking it for a spin through Ephesians 5:15–21. Looking forward to unpacking what I think is a timely text given our cultural climate and the tension we all feel between plotting our course and letting the world plot it for us. Go ahead and read the text once or twice for Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Also, this week marks the first time our newly renovated Children's Ministry hall will be in use! We sent out a reminder yesterday, but in case you didn't get it (or didn't read it) here's how things will work:

• We've added rooms! You might be checking into a new space this Sunday, so make sure you select the right room in KidCheck.
• Rooms are numbered rather than named by a color.
• Kids' Church is now for 2nd–5th Grades and meets in the Youth area (at the end of the CM hall or directly across the hall from the sanctuary exits on the far left).
• Kids' Church will receive children during the service, after announcements. Simply walk through the exit doors to the Youth area. (Make sure your child's signed into KidCheck before the service!)

Sunday Morning Classes (9–10 a.m., Sept. 13–Nov. 22) || There will be two studies, one on the Apostles’ Creed (Ron Mullins teaching) and another on prayer, using Tim Keller’s book as a guide (Robert Ward teaching; class ends Oct. 25). Childcare will be provided for both classes. Contact Nicole Carey to sign up!

“One Another” Member Meeting (Sept. 13, 6 p.m.) || Every other month, CrossPointe’s members (non-members welcome!) gather to discuss and pray for matters pertinent to the life of the church. Childcare is always provided.

Ladies’ Lunch (Sept. 15, noon) || Study spiritual disciplines together over lunch ($5 Chicken Salad Chick). Childcare begins at 10 a.m.! Contact Nicole Carey to sign up.

Ski Retreat (Dec. 31–Jan. 3) || Details will be announced soon, but go ahead and mark your calendar for our annual youth (and family) retreat! Contact Will Hawk for more information.

Women’s Bible Studies
Jonah (Thurs., 9:15–11 a.m., Sept. 3–Oct. 1) || Meet in Classroom B to study the book of Jonah with other ladies! Contact Amy Ward to reserve a spot and request childcare.

Philippians (Mon., 9:30–11 a.m., Sept. 14–Nov. 9) || This study will meet in Classroom B and use Carrie Gaul’s Joy in the Midst (recommended by Nancy Leigh DeMoss) as a guide. Contact Melany Raborn (706-718-5102) to sign up and request childcare!

Nehemiah (Mon., 6:30–8 p.m., Sept. 14–Dec.14) || The group will meet Sept. 14 & 21 and every other week after that. Meet at 3915 Crestview Dr. in Columbus. Contact Lauren Wood to sign up!
