Dear CrossPointe,

I'm really looking forward to this Sunday. We'll be in 1 Thessalonians 1 again, specifically verses 6–10. I've been studying this text all week and there are some beautiful truths and connections I want us to see. Specifically, we'll be thinking about what true discipleship looks like, how it is linked to joy, and how it should lead to evangelism and witness. Plus, we'll spend some time unpacking vv9–10, which is one of the clearest and most succinct descriptions of the Christian life in the whole Bible.

Read the passage for yourself several times before Sunday. Pray for God to show us wonderful things from this text. Pray for Him to bring unbelievers to repentance. Pray for him to conform us more into the image of Christ. Come ready to worship our great God and King!

“One Another” Meeting (July 12, 6–7:30 p.m.)
Every other month CrossPointe’s members gather for a “family meeting” as we discuss matters pertinent to church life. Childcare is always provided!

Child Dedication Sunday (July 26; Class, July 12)
If you are a member or moving toward membership and would like to dedicate your newborn or newly adopted child to the Lord, you must first attend our class in Classroom B on Sunday, July 12, at 9 a.m. Contact Wayne Shealy to sign up!

Midweek Fellowship Returning (July 8, 5:45 p.m.)
Mark your calendars for Wednesdays in July as we gather for dinner (5:45 p.m.) followed by teaching (6:30 p.m.)! This time, Brad will be discussing eschatology. All meals are $5, not to exceed $20 per family.

Young Adult Retreat (July 24–26)
