Dear CrossPointe,

This Sunday we’ll conclude our Daniel series by covering the last two chapters, in which God gives Daniel a comprehensive vision of the future—including even the return of Christ!

These two chapters are breathtaking in their detail, especially of the rise and fall of worldly rulers, but the point is not to have us guessing what modern-day empire or ruler fulfills these prophetic references. Instead, this text is meant to fortify and encourage the people of God through the ages. God has appointed a time for all things, and the people who know their God will stand firm and take action. I look forward to finishing this study of Daniel with you on Sunday!

Youth Leader Lunch (Aug. 7, after worship) || Whether you’ve served before or not, if you have a heart for Jesus and teenagers we’d love to have you join us for lunch (FREE!) as we discuss the vision for our 2016–17 youth program. Even if you decide not to serve in the end, you’ll still get a free lunch! Sign up by contacting Molly Copley.

Young Adults: River Retreat (Aug. 12–13) || Join us for a day of tubing, skiing, and doing other aquatic stuff! We’ll gather after work on Friday night until lunch on Saturday. Just bring $10 (or food, if you prefer). This is also a good opportunity to bring a friend! Register online today!

Biblical Marriage (every other Mon., 6:30–8 p.m., starting Aug. 15) || Cultivate a biblical view of marriage with all its glories and challenges. Using several helpful resources, Frank & Elayne Saucier lead the study at their home. Childcare will be available, but space is limited to 15 couples. Contact the Sauciers to sign up or request more info.

Starting Pointe (Aug. 20–21) || Membership in the local church is where Gospel, Community, and Mission intersect. Whether you’re interested in joining or just want to know more about CrossPointe, please join us for this two-session class (Sat., 9 a.m.–noon; Sun., 5–7:30 p.m.). We’ll provide childcare as well as food at both sessions. Contact Robert Ward to sign up!

Women’s Study: Colossians (Mon., 9:30–11 a.m., starting Sept. 12) || The group will use a study by John MacArthur as a guide. Please contact Melany Raborn soon to sign up and ensure we have enough childcare!
