What a joy it was to have Doug Van Meter, pastor of Brackenhurst Baptist Church in Johannesburg, South Africa, with us last Sunday. He preached an excellent message on the traits of a world-impacting church from Acts 11:19–30. If you missed it, I highly encourage you to listen to or watch it here.
This Sunday we pick back up with Daniel 10 where we read of a vivid scene that gives us a glimpse of a heavenly battle. This chapter underscores the huge and necessary role that our sovereign and triumphant God has determined for our prayers to play in this battle.
As we live in a world in tumult, we must remember that ultimately our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. My hope is that this chapter will encourage and strengthen us to fight this fight more faithfully. Take some time read Daniel 10 a few times before Sunday. Pray for God to do wonderful things among us!
