Dear CrossPointe,

This Sunday we take a break from our Daniel series to welcome and hear from Doug Van Meter, pastor of Brackenhurst Baptist Church in Johannesburg, South Africa. Brackenhurst is the home church of Gareth Franks, our missionary friend and partner in India.

I’m really looking forward to hearing from this dear brother as he shares with us from God’s Word and about the work of the gospel in South Africa.

Child Dedication (July 24; class, July 17, 9 a.m.) || If you would like to dedicate to the Lord your newborn or newly adopted child during the worship service on July 24, please contact Robert Ward. There is a prerequisite class the Sunday before (July 17 at 9 a.m.) in Classroom A.

Ladies’ Lunch (July 19, noon) || Join us on the third Tuesday of every month for lunch ($5 Chicken Salad Chick) and fellowship as we study Jerry Bridges’ The Transforming Power of the Gospel together. Childcare begins at 10 a.m. RSVP for food and/or childcare to Molly Copley.

MWF (July 20, 5:45–7:30 p.m.) || Learn about the Holy Spirit and related topics! Dinner ($5/person) will start at 5:45 p.m., followed by teaching at 6:30. Contact Molly Copley to RSVP for food and childcare.

Prayer for the Nations (Sun., 6–7 p.m., starting July 24) || Meet at CrossPointe on Sunday nights to pray with others for the Gospel’s spread in and through CrossPointe.

Starting Pointe (Aug. 20–21) || Membership in the local church is where Gospel, Community, and Mission intersect. Whether you’re interested in joining or just want to know more about CrossPointe, please join us for this two-session class (Sat., 9 a.m.–noon; Sun., 5–7:30 p.m.).
