Dear CrossPointe,

This Sunday we begin our series through Romans. I can hardly wait! Martin Luther described this letter as “really the chief part of the New Testament” and “truly the purest gospel. It is worthy not only that every Christian should know it word for word, by heart, but also that he should occupy himself with it every day, as the daily bread of the soul.” High praise indeed! This Sunday we’ll begin by looking at Romans 1:1–7. If you’re not up to Luther’s challenge of memorizing the whole book, just try reading it for now. See you Sunday!

One Another Member Meeting (Jan. 8, 6–7:30 p.m.) || Every other month, members gather to talk about matters pertinent to the life of the church. This meeting we’ll be voting to affirm Reuben Moyana as an elder. Non-members are welcome to attend, and childcare is provided.

Men’s Lunch (Jan. 10, noon) || Join us at CrossPointe on the first Tuesday of the month (usually) for food ($5 Chick-fil-A) and fellowship. RSVP to Springer Cain.

Women’s Study: Daniel & Esther (every other Tues., 6–7:30 p.m., Jan. 3–May 23) || Study God’s presence in hardship using John MacArthur’s book as a guide. Space is limited, so RSVP today by contacting Melany Raborn. The group will meet at the Raborns’ home (7248 Leighton Rd., Columbus). Books will be available in the Resource Room, but childcare will not be provided.

Women’s Study: Psalms & Wisdom Books (Tues., 10–11:30 a.m., Jan. 10–March 14) || Elayne Saucier and Sherry Duncan will lead the group through Nancy Guthrie’s study of the Psalms and wisdom books of the Old Testament. Sign up for books and childcare by contacting Sherry.

Parenting Study (every other Mon., 6:30 p.m., Jan. 16–April 10) || Meet at the home of Frank & Elayne Saucier as they lead this study on biblical parenting. Childcare will be provided. Space is running out quickly, so contact Elayne to sign up today.

Ladies’ Lunch (Jan. 17, 11:30 a.m.) || Join us at CrossPointe on the third Tuesday of the month for food ($5 Chicken Salad Chick) and fellowship. Childcare is provided beginning at 9:30 a.m. RSVP for lunch and childcare by contacting Molly Copley.

Starting Pointe Membership Class (Feb. 11–12) || Membership in the local church is where Gospel, Community, and Mission intersect. Whether you’re interested in joining or just want to know more about CrossPointe, please come to this two-session class (Sat., 9 a.m.–noon; Sun., 5–7:30 p.m.).
