Dear CrossPointe,

I trust you are doing well! As summer winds down and school starts back up I want to give you an idea of where we’ll be heading on Sundays this Fall. Will Hawk will preach a stand-alone message this Sunday, after which we’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.

Then, on the following Sunday, we’ll begin a series through 1 Timothy. This short letter from Paul to a young pastor is packed full of wisdom and truth for the local church. I trust this series will be formative for us as we continue to grow together as a church family.

Newcomers’ Lunch (Sunday, after worship) || Meet the pastors and learn more about the church. We’ll provide food and childcare. Contact Molly Copley to sign up!

Youth Leader Lunch (Sunday, after worship) || Whether you’ve served before or not, if you have a heart for Jesus and teenagers we’d love to have you join us for lunch (FREE!) as we discuss the vision for our youth program. Contact Molly Copley to sign up!

Young Adults: River Retreat (Aug. 12–13) || Join us for a day of tubing, skiing, and doing other aquatic stuff! We’ll gather after work on Friday night until lunch on Saturday. Just bring $10 (or food, if you prefer). This is also a good opportunity to bring a friend! Register online here.

Biblical Marriage (every other Mon., 6:30–8 p.m., starting Aug. 15) || Cultivate a biblical view of marriage with all its glories and challenges. Using several helpful resources, Frank & Elayne Saucier lead the study at their home. Childcare will be available, but space is limited to 15 couples. Contact the Sauciers to sign up or request more info.

Ladies’ Lunch (Aug. 16, noon) || Join the women of CrossPointe every third Tuesday of the month for food ($5 Chicken Salad Chick) and fellowship as we study Jerry Bridges’ The Transforming Power of the Gospel. Childcare begins at 10 a.m. RSVP to Molly Copley for food and/or childcare.

Starting Pointe (Aug. 20–21) || Membership in the local church is where Gospel, Community, and Mission intersect. Whether you’re interested in joining or just want to know more about CrossPointe, please join us for this two-session class (Sat., 9 a.m.–noon; Sun., 5–7:30 p.m.). We’ll provide childcare as well as food at both sessions. Contact Robert Ward to sign up!

Women’s Study: Colossians (Mon., 9:30–11 a.m., starting Sept. 12) || The group will use a study by John MacArthur as a guide. Contact Melany Raborn to sign up and request childcare!

Men’s Study: Knowing God (Thurs., 7–8 a.m., starting Sept. 15) || Meet at CrossPointe to study J. I. Packer’s classic book, Knowing God. Cecil Cheves will be leading the group. Sign up by contacting him.

Prayer for the Nations (Sun., 6–7 p.m.) || Meet at CrossPointe on Sunday nights to pray with others for the Gospel’s spread in and through CrossPointe.
