Announcements, Sept. 6

“One Another” Meeting (Sunday, 6–7:30 p.m.) || Every other month CrossPointe’s members gather to consider matters pertinent to the life of the church. Childcare will be provided, and non-members are welcome to attend.

Young Adult Bible Study (Sept. 12, 7 p.m.) || This group for those in their 18–20s meets in the youth room on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month for Bible study and fellowship. Contact Robert Ward for more info.

Starting Pointe (Sept. 13–15) || Please contact Robert Ward to sign up for our next membership class: Sept. 13–15, Fri. (6:30–9 p.m.), Sat. (9 a.m.–noon) and Sun. (6–7:30 p.m.). Childcare is provided.

Kids’ Church & Youth Parent “Orientation” (Sept. 15, 9 a.m.) || Will Hawk and Robert Ward will talk about these ministries and how you can get involved. Childcare and a light breakfast will be provided. Please contact Robert if you’d like to attend.

Upcoming Study: Knowing God (Starts Sept. 17) || Melany Raborn is leading a 10-week study on Knowing God by Mary Kassian, starting Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 9–10:30 a.m. (childcare provided). Please contact Melany (706-718-5102) to sign up!

Water Baptism (Sept. 29) || CrossPointe baptizes believers as a sign of the gospel. If you would like to be baptized, please contact Wayne Shealy. Our next baptism will take place during worship on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Pure in Heart Conference (Oct. 5) || Girls (7–12), moms, grandmothers and mentors are invited to CrossPointe on Sat., Oct. 5 (8:30 a.m.–3:15 p.m.). The cost (for lunch and materials) is $27 for children and $37 for adults ($47 after Sept. 9). Register online at pureinheartconference.com/columbus-georgia/.

Child Dedication (Oct. 13; class Oct. 6) || Parents interested in dedicating their children to the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 13, should first attend the class on Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. Please contact Wayne Shealy for more information.

ADOPT(ed): Caring for the Fatherless (Oct. 26, 5:30–8 p.m.) || Join us for dinner and teaching from guest speaker Tony Carter (pastor of East Point Church in Atlanta). Several orphan-care organizations will be represented as well. Contact Wayne Shealy or Daniel Hord for more information or to sign up! Childcare will be provided.
